I've been doing a little research on hair porosity and I've realized my hair is OVERLY porous.  My problem is that I can't seem to find a clear answer as to how I should correct this.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Possibly neutralizing shampoo???

Thanks in advance!

Hey there are a couple of different things you can do to help with your hair porosity...one of them is Roux Porosity conditioner (Sally Beauty) I add about a tablespoon to my deep conditioner and it leaves my hair feeling very soft and tangle free...or you can dilute Apple Cider Vinegar (1 part vinegar 2 parts water) and use this as your final rinse after doing a deep conditioning. You should notice the difference right after doing one of these treatments HTH

Sometimes when your hair is in this condition it could be that your hair is damaged and your ends need to be trimed and you need a deep cond. treatment. If your hair is naturally like this there are a few other things that you may need to do. Go to my fotki and e-mail me or call me and I can help you out further.

ACV rinse is a cheap and effective way to reduce porosity. I add black strap molasses and honey to my ACV and water mix, and use as a final hair rinse. I do not rinse out, its very good, even for the skin.

i agree with the above poster, Roux has a product for that purpose.  With respect to your seeking one answer, it's just like makeup, some will swear by MAC and others will say Iman.  Get to know your hair and what products work with it, but ALWAYS remember to keep it conditioned.
