I got the duo derm silicons sheet, and it is fleshtone...dark enough for a part, anyway. I haven't appled it yet. I want to wait til my unit is dry, then push it up against the part and see how it looks. My question concerns the steri strips. I got mine at a local medical supply place, and they are clear.
Which side goes on the lace? The adhesive side or the smooth side? Can I apply my SH spray on the adhesive side or, do I do it on the smooth side?
Dr. Sexi, I need your help. I'm gonna go review your steri strip lesson, while I wait for a reply.
I'm glad there's no pop quiz...lol.

ETA: I cannot find info on tweezing a part to make it more natural....help.
Sorry, I swear I am looking on my own too. I'm just getting frustrated.

sticky side up for the steri strips.. i've not tried the silicon sheets yet! but with the steri strips i did apply the sticky side up with a little adhesive to be sure it won't move for sure out of the part.. then i dabbed my bare minerals makeup or like you wanna try the SH.. good luck!

You can take a rat tooth comb and make your first part; then you make another small part on the part you already have.  Hold the hair up(it should be very few).  Then pull the hairs out of the lace gently one piece of hair at a time.  They should come out easily without tearing the lace because you're pulling on one piece of hair.  This will thin your part.  I do this all the time.  Looks very natural.

If you don't want to tweeze I read a while back so use setting lotion on their part then use two clips--one on each side of the part---let it dry and it widens the part for them.

Thanks Guys!
Dr. Sexi: I'm going to go scan the newbie thread again. I'm assuming you mean those pencil looking drawings? I looked at them but will go review.

Ash: What a great and easy idea.
I went and bought one of those little razor comb things at the BSS store, and haven't taken it out of the pkg. yet.
I've used them b4, but not on a lf.
scurry.

I have the razor comb too and its easy to use just do a little at a time and try on the wig as you are thinning it so you don't thin it too much!!! You will be ok!

Thanks erryone!
Today's my bday...I'm getting started on my app, so wish me luck ladies.
I'm gonna relax my hair, I guess. It would be so easy to just cut it all off, but God's working on my patience so, I'm gonna think long term.
I have an appt at 11:45 and will get it cut after that.
After I make sure my app is tight and style it, I'll take some pics w/my camera and hopefully it'll be a nice fat hit for all yall.
