Just wanted you to know about some great luck I`ve had with a new shampoo and conditioner. I was out of town last week and forgot to pack shampoo and conditioner. So I went to a mall near where I was staying and stopped in a "Bath & Body Works" shop. They had a big display for BIO shampoos and conditioners. I`d never heard of them; they were available in several types, all a different color. BIO stands for beauty intensifying organics, or something like that. The salesgirl recommended the sunflower/grapefruit shampoo & conditioner for me. Well, that was 9 days ago, I`ve used it every day since then (I normally wash my below shoulder length hair medium blonde hair every day), and so far it has been awesome. My hair has felt strong and silky, and some gold color has been brought out. I keep waiting for a bad hair day, or for my hair to dry out, but it`s been great. Now I`m sorry I bought only a travel size, which is half gone! I`m going to have to go to my local mall and look for more if the great results keep up.

In addition to normal looking ingredients, the shampoo and conditioner lists saffron oil, sunflower oil, and various citrus extracts (including grapefruit, lemon and orange). Anyway, so far it`s been great. I wonder if anybody else reading this has had a good or bad experience with any Bath and Body Works "bio" products, or if any of the oil and citrus ingredients listed above should concern me.

the oils are the reason it`s silky and not drying out and the citrus oils are why you are seeing your highlights coming out. They act as a clarifier and help brighten the hair.

:)

congrats!!

Thanks, foxfan! So far the combination is just right for me. I know I`ve read in several places (Karen Shelton comes to mind) that finding the right hair products is a matter of trial and error, and that what works for someone else might not work for you, etc. So, at least for me, this Bio grapefruit/sunflower stuff is the best shampoo/conditioner I`ve found yet. Thanks again.

You`re welcome!

My neighbor works there, so I may have to see about getting some. I would like to try it but right now I have so much shampoo/cond/hair goop in my house the stores could run out and I would have enough for a few years.

Then my mom found out she is allergic to anything with a fragrance, so i have all of her stuff now......she buys everything in bulk -- you can imagine what my bathroom lookes like. She gave me 4L of shampoo and conditioner and 3 large bottles of hair spray, shower gel and a bar of tea tree soap.

Wow, you might have to consider giving away some of the excess to a shelter or some other group home:) I would try the Bath & Body Works Bio anyway - maybe do what I did and get a travel size, since you`ve got so many bottles of stuff around:) If you`re blonde, I highly recommend the grapefruit/sunflower variety I`ve been using for 2 weeks now. They had other "flavors" too, if you`re not blonde.

I got a trim yesterday, and my longtime hairstylist noticed that my hair is in much better condition. When I described the Bio shampoo & conditioner, she said, "Well, I`m going to reserve judgment. Fruit extracts can dry out your hair, but so far it`s doing great." So far I`ve been using it every day for 3 weeks. Based on your earlier comment, I`m hoping the saffron and sunflower oils couteract any drying effect of the fruit.

Let me know how the citrus rosemary works for you! It`s on sale here, too. After my travel size ran out, I bought 2 full-size shampoos & conditioners, so I sure hope it keeps working!

I LOVE IT

also bought anti aging serum, eye cream
face wash and lotion for oily skin.

I have been using all of this for about a week now and this is the first time I have not had blackheads since I was about 11. My face is healing nicely and other than that once a month blemish my face is clear.

I started using bio a few weeks ago. I`m using the max volume kind though. It seems to be doing pretty good.

What on earth were you using foxfan to get rid of the black heads? I have them and HATE them! I can`t get rid of them though!

Hi Katherine,

Thank you so much for sharing the scoop on the BIO from Bath & Body Works. I had read about BIO but had not had a chance to try it so I am going to add it to my "todo" testing list. :-)

Yes, I am one of the people that always says to find what works for you and that it is trial and error. :-) So it is so exciting to hear that you found a great product that works so well for you.

Please keep us posted on your experiences with the product.

Best wishes,
Karen
