Hi,

I have relatively short hair which is pretty damaged and dry. My hair is very thick and coarse and not generally in good condition. As the length of my hair increases my hair tends to curl quite alot, especially the sides. My hair becomes very wavey and curley. Many hair strands also stick out which is frustrating. I am new to hair care and am wanting to sort out my hair from its current poor condition.

Can anyone help to advise me on what products to use/how often to help recover my hair from its current condition to help my hair become less like a birds nest looking healthier.

Not sure what your question is about.  Curly hair doesn't automatically mean it's damaged although you will need to learn to work with it to make it look and feel good.

Curly hair tends to be dryer because it's more difficult for the oils to get from the scalp to the ends.  They have a much more windy road to travel.  A good shampoo and moisturizing conditioner (1 - 2 times a month - or a little more for curly hair) and maybe even a leave in conditioner with a styling product like gel, wax, pomade or whatever will go a long way to helping your hair look good.
