Hi all, I am growing out my hair long and have very fine thin hair, it sometimes seems as if it is weak and not very moisturized. Oh by the way I am a guy. Anyways, i've been using Finesse shampoo and conditioner and it does make it soft and full, but it does feel a bit dry and weak a day or two later. What brands of shampoo/conditioner should I use to grow my hair out healthier, thicker, and longer? I tried reading reviews and there are so many mixed opinions on what chemicals are bad and what not. Also, how often should you shampoo/condition? Also, I don't want to spend too much. Any help would be great,

thanks

The opinions vary a lot because there are many different hair types out there.  What works for some doesn't work for others.  Any shampoo that you like is fine.  You may want to consider keeping a small empty bottle handy to dilute your shampoo with water and use in the diluted form (roll it, don't shake to mix, and only mix a small amount right before you'll use it, don't leave it sitting around diluted).  This weakens any chemicals in it that may be too harsh, and in this case you can use any brand you want.  Most shampoo is too concentrated and just dries out your hair and scalp, this will help.

As for conditioner, you may want to do a search here and learn about 'cones in conditioners to decide if you want to use those or not (they work for some people not for others).

No shampoo or conditioner is going to help with thickening and length much.  You could use products like gel to make it stand up more and appear thicker, just be aware of the alcohol content.  Good gentle haircare is your best bet for length.
