Hey ladies,

I am in great need of your expertise.
How do you get this d*mn tape off!!! It is just stuck in the lace, not to mention the hair at the hairline? This is a nightmare....
I have soaked it for about 30 seconds in the alcohol but the stuff is still on the lace. Then I used a brush, to no avail.
Should I soak for longer?

I am getting ready to put the wig in the trash can that's how much I'm hating it right now....

Lilypod,
Don't panic.  Blue lace tape is awesome but very stubborn! I would soak it for 10 minutes and see what happens.  I use PURE remover as well cause it's not as harsh.  You could even pour some alcohol in a shallow bin and soak it for a while.

Thanks Griff,
I'm going to try soaking for longer... I was just afraid that the 99% alcohol would damage the hair but I have no choice at this point....

the 99% breaks down the glue properties more than the 91% that's why i always get that.. plus the desolve it, or goo gone..

Here in the States you can also find Goo-Gone in the grocery stores (that's where I bought mine).  Don't know about Canada.  I haven't yet used the Goo-Gone, but I have it just in case.

The 99% alcohol works very well to remove the tape. After soaking the perimeter for a minute or two, I use a Q-tip soaked in alcohol to rub on the tape as I gently peel it away. Then I use one of those sponge make-up wedges dabbed with alcohol to remove any leftover sticky residue on my skin.

Ok ladies, I've always used 99% alcohol to remove adhesives.  Never had issues but would like to try the goo gone.  I've been hearing about it since I've been wearing lf's for a year now but never knew where to get it.  Please tell me what sections in the dollar tree, target or walgreens it is in.  I'm ready to run to the dollar tree now but the last time I ran to the store for something like rit dye at Joannes, the woman behind the counter looked at me like I had 10 heads when I asked for it.  I was about to ask to speak to the manager when the lady behind me showed me what aisle it was in.  I'm ready to try me some goo gone.  Today is my lf and natural hair treatment day so I can't actually run to the store now anyway, lolol......

Goo gone is in the hardware dept of walmart by the paint thinners and removers. It is the truth but open some windows when you use it (I use goo gone xtreme) b/c the fumes can get to you.

In our dollar tree it's near the cleaning products on the back of the cleaning isle.  The bottle is small, but hey for a dollar how can I complain?  Oh, don't get it on your skin if you have sensitive skin!
