Hey everyone! I'm an 18 year old guy with curley thick red hair (not like super bright red, its actually been darkening a lot lately) and I was just curious to see what I'd look like with a different color. I recently got a haircut so I don't have much right now, but my hair grows in fast.

Is there a product or shampoo or something I can buy that just REALLY gradually changes from red to brown? I dont want anything that looks at all unnatural... And I'm not gonna actually dye my hair or anything - just looking for a simple solution to darken and brown it a little bit. Like, i dont expect it to make a change in one day - im looking for something i can put in my hair each time i shower to slowly do it. also non-damaging would be great

And final question, when my hair DOES grow back, it gets really thick and full making it kind of fro-ish but it looks a lot better when it's not like that. Are there products I can buy to make my hair a little more thin and straight? Not anything really dramatic, and preferably something I can just do in the shower, not with an iron or something... I just wish it was weighed down more or less thick or something so it wouldn't just grow out instead of down or anything... lol itd be nice if i could actually have some of my hair move freely when i move my head, instead of just sticking straight out... ugh

I've got $75 to waste on amazon so price doesn't matter :)

heres a pic of me if it helps to see what kind of hair i have:

my hairs a lot shorter than that right now because of the haircut but i think the products will still be good, b/c even with short hair it already feels too thick

Thank you!! :)

Your hair is not super tight curls, so if it were left to grow long, it'd grow downward eventually.  If you don't want long though, I don't know what you could do to weigh it down that would make much difference otherwise.

If you go to a beauty supply shop like Sally, they used to have some brown shampoo you could get there.  You can ask the person that works there to help you find it, because I'm not sure its the same name it was when I used to buy it years ago  (can't find it online).  It will darken your hair gradually with each use if you use it every wash (not every other wash like it says on the bottle).  It looks like paint in the bottle, if its translucent its not the stuff that changes your color enough.
