Hi guys,
I have a couple of questions-

-How often do I need to wash my 20 inch clip-in human hair extensions? They are straight.

-Has anyone got any advice as to how I could arrange my clip-ins so I could wear them in a high ponytail without them showing, or without any bumps? I don't want to look like Britney Spears!!!

Thanks!

You can wash them as often as you like. How long is your hair in the front? Unless it's very short you should have no problems wearing tehm in a high ponytail.

I wash my clip in maybe once a week.  If you use more product in your hair, you may want to wash them every 3-4 days.

I would agree with metal on that. You might also want to dilute the product a bit or use something milder on them.

I would have to agree with the rest ,you should wash your hair peices about every week if using alot of hairspray or mousse for curls! To obtain a flat more natural looking ponytail I would suggesst to flip each clip on extension track. You can do this by bending your head down then part your hair while pulling down all the hair in the back nape section of the hair, then apply your extension peice in a C shape! Do this going around the shape of your head! This should prouduce a flat more natural no bulk ponytail, that you can determine the hight of the ponytail! I hope I could be of assistance! www.APrincesspalace.com

Great advice ladies!

I wanted to add that I have several sets of clip-ins (made myself) that I alternate every day. This way, I only have to clean each one after several weeks wear! Of course, I don't really put product on my extensions except when after I wash them. I usually apply a leave-in and some serum and then either flat iron them straight or flat-iron them curly! Then I just clip them in until I feel like they are getting grimy.Big%20smile

For pony-tails, less is more. Play with it. Don't put any clips close to your hairline, so you can easily hide them.

Love clip-ins and tape!

That's exactly how I did it when I wore clip ins. I had two sets and I probably washed them once or twice each week. The beauty of clip ins is that you can take them out when you are cleaning the house, etc... and you don't wear them when you are sleeping so, they don't get dirty or oily very fast.
