I tend to think that by age 35 you have probably had long hair for quite a while. Dont get me wrong, long hair is pretty but it gets boring too. If you have enjoyed your hair for that long I would suggest that you think about getting your hair cut short. It seems like everyone thinks it is so hard to get hair cut off. It is not at all and you would be suprised at how many girls love their short hair as much as they did their long hair. You may have a boyfriend that would die if you cut it or you may not look that good without it, but if you have a pretty face , can find a pretty style and have all that gorgeous hair cut. Not because of the boss but because you might want a change yourself. Long hair is not always to die for and it is so easy to adapt to a new cut. It is not like going to the dentist. But it is certainly your decision if you have someone that you like that cannot bear to see you without it, tell the boss where to get off. But if you have had alot of years with your hair already you might have it cut short and either keep your hair as a keepsake or sell your hair or donate your hair to locks of love for cancer patients. I love to see a woman get all her gorgeous hair cut short, it takes alot of courage , but I have sure seen alot of gorgeous short haired women. So take the dare....Cut your hair and youll see.

If long hair is boring or not depends not only from your assessment, I know a lot of people who never were bored by long hair.
If you read the theme of this section you will see that it is called long hair support. I don`t see any support from you and in view of your comment I don`t think that you have to suggest anything. There was never a question after you.
After my opinion long haired women need no encouragement to cut off their hair, at least not from people who enjoy this.
Your statement about locks of love is wrong, they gather primarily hair for people who suffer on alopecia, not for cancer patients, in reality it is not clear for what they gather most of the hair.
I think women can have long hair as long as they want it and I appreciate it if they keep it long. I don`t have seen any "pretty style" that gives more as the long hair can give, and I have magazines at home for information. I think people who like hair cuts have only a short time period where they are interested in a woman, the time for the cut, after that they look for the next victim and they can destroy much more as they ever can repair. On the opposite site long hair gives possibilities for appreciation for many years always for the same woman.
Most of the business stylists live very good from short hair and its styling features.
I think it is an individual decision if a woman wants a long or a short hair style, and I think also it is correct to encourage her in both directions, if she asks for an opinion. A general suggestion for hair cuts without reflecting any individual characteristics or wishes or questions on a long hair support section tells me that you don`t have any respect for the feelings of the people who participate here. I have problems not to reply in a way that makes my estimation of you more clear but English is not my first language and I don`t have a big repertoire of adequate words.

Right church (hair), wrong pew (short). Notice the name of this particular board -- Long Hair SUPPORT. Not long hair discouragement, or short hair proselytizing. You may want to float your theories over at the "Hair Politics" board.
Doesn`t chemotherapy result in hair loss that`s *temporary* ?
And what would such a recipient do with the wig when their own hair grows back?
A woman I know (nicknamed "Lady Godiva") told me that she learned that chemotherapy patients have tender scalps and prefer to wear soft silk scarves on their heads, NOT hairpieces.

that is completly besides the point. My point was that the name of the organization, nothing more, nothing less. Thank you.
BTW. Long Hair ROCKS!
God Bless.

Why don`t you try this topic on the hair politic board Dave?
What I learned about life is that we as a human being has the responsibility to fulful our needs within ourselves to make our life richer and become wiser and find our peace and only when we actually reach that point we will acheive the goal of making the lives of everyone around us happier, fulful and richer because emotions are very much like domino blocks at times. We are not responsible for others insecurites, bad taste etc. even thought most of us feel bad when people are not happy. As a long hair female I am not responsible for your boredom. It is your responsibility in life to not be bored with trivial things that has nothing to do with your life personally. This reminds me of a child that is go around the house saying" I `m bored, I`m bored " and expects that the world will hand over something exciting and refreshing. Sad disapointment will be when that person realizes that the world does not hand over exciting things but it is an attitude within each of us that brings that excitement.
