Hi, basically i've kept a shaved head look for the last 8 years, my hair have never grown more than half an inch.
however i am trying to grow them as i want to curl them, with tight curls, i have really dark thick hair, i wouldnt say their 100% straight, but their not really curly neither.
I wanna know how long must my hair be to get any type of curl, and would you recommend a perm or is it way too outdated?
My hair is currently just under an inch but i cant wait to get em curled as my hair look really frizzy and a mess as their growin.

Okay un I dont know what I'm dealing with are you natural or relaxed?
1. If you are relaxed your hair wont grow out curly it will be straight untill its long enough to be curled with an iron.
2. If you are natural and you have no curl patterns at all you are probably a 4b most likely a 4a/b. Meaning you have very tight curls and it will probably be hard to identify.
3. I have a cousin whose natural hair grow straight for about .10iches. But once it get close to one inch long it starts to curl I dont know do you have a picture of your hair?
