Hello everyone. I'm sorry if this has been asked 1,000,000 times but I have a question about growing out my natural color. I was born blonde then it turned Bronde (dark blonde/light brown color) as the years progressed. So what did I do but dye it (very very) light blonde of course and I've been doing that for over 10 years. I'm ready to let my hair finally go back to it's natural darker shade but everytime my roots get about an inch or so long I dye it again. How can I let my hair grow out without it looking tacky? Should I use a semi permanet dye on the rest of my hair to match my roots or what? Thanks for any advice you can offer I really really appreciate it.
I would have your stylist do it. But find a color that is close as possible to your natural and let them do it. How much differance do you have for your roots? Is there a massive "mis-match" in color?
Thanks for your reply, Mike. My hair has dark blonde/light brown roots and is light blonde so it's a pretty noticeable difference at least to me. I've had stylists try to fix it in the past and it never grows out because they always want to dye over the roots or talk me into going blonde again. If you can think of anyway to descibe what I need done to the stylist that will help me get what I'm looking for please let me know. Thank you so much.

I'd do what u said.I'd put a semi-perament color over to match the roots.I did that for about 2 months. Then i got tired of that.I just said forget it & went ahead & kept coloring.Good luck!
