frustrated

im stuck. i guess what i can say is im sitting here with my hair conditioned and soft with nothing in it but a mess. my explanation is not going to need pics so hopefully you guys can get the picture without 'em and help me. my moisture level is crap, meaning if i add anything to it a day after showering with nothing in it, it screws the conditioning up. and it won't lay down for sh*t anymore like ill wash it and durag then take it off the next day then brush with water and stand up later...and the durag is hurtin the skin in my back of my head, even if i wear it loose. im not sure if i should keep growin it out while keep doin what im doing, quit, or lower cut it and go back to basics. in a nutshell, im rockin half ass waves that wont stay still for sh*t. my homie whos waving with me, keeps tellin me i got waves and not to cut it but my ish keep growing longer and harder to manage, and they aint gettin better.

everyday the durag pushes my right side back, it wont properly in the back cuz where its tied doesnt hold good instead has it pushed in diff. directions, my left crown side stands up and wont lay down in the right swirl direction.
