OK, so I went Wed. and got my flat wefts from Charlene at cybermane. I L.O.V.E them!! They blend very well, my hair has never looked so great! I  don't have a digital camera, but will try and borrow one so I can get some pics up within the next couple of days.

If there's one thing I DON'T like, it's that she used white thread to sew them in and my hair is brown(which is wierd because on all of her pictures she used brown thread)....so if the wind blows, you can clearly see that I have a sew in. On the top of 3 wefts, I used permanent marker to color them black, and that has helped alot with showing.

It cost me about 700 WITHOUT the hair by the time I went to PA and back... and although I love my hair, I'm worried that financially I won't be able to do it again in 2-3 months...ConfusedI could save, but that would mean I have little to no money for anything but extensions.

I would also have to worry about removal...what tool do I need to get out the microlinks?

Here's the method, http://cybermane.com/Flat_Weaves.html if anyone knows how to do it PLEASE pm me or post here...I'd also consider tapes since this hair is completely blended already. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated because I CANNOT go back to short hair!

You can use the pliers to remove the links.

It's best to use the thread that matches your client's hair color.  In an pinch I've had to use lighter thread when I have ran out of darker thread.  Maybe Charlene ran out of the darker thread.  It's unlikely she'd over look a detail that without a good reason.

There is a tutorial on dr. locs that show you how to do a version of the micro ring weave.  Maybe you could have one of your friends practice doing it on you.

I'm glad that  you like your hair!

Ah that's awesome! I'm going there for cyberhair next Saturday, and I actually went on TUESDAY for a consultation, and saw a girl who got them put in. Does Charlene have any pics up yet of yours at her cybermane website?

I would not give Charlene any more business I had a sew in as well and she used the white thread and it was very sloppy.  She is charging top dollar you should not have to do anything to make your hair look perfect such as coloring it with black marker.  I actually had to go to a beauty school to get my hair trimmed down, she put on so many layers and didn't trim it, I got the feeling she was angry that I picked the "cheaper" method when I was quoted an outrageous sum on the shrink links.  The teacher at the beauty school made me the topic of her students class that day and it took two people to hack away at it.. i was told it looked like a "square rug" on top of my head.  She had her assistant curl it before I left (who did most of the work even though I paid top dollar for her to do my hair and the gratuity was already included, she then asked for an addition tip on top of that to give to the assistant!), so I didn't notice how bad I looked until half an hour later when all the curls fell out from the weight.  I didn't go back because she made me sign a form saying that I was completely satisfied and would not get it fixed unless I paid.  This was my first lesson in hair extensions but I learned from my mistake which is DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING BASED ON WHAT IS ON A WEBSITE!!

so my question is to gazebo
this is your first time here, you come on to put down charlenes work, may i ask if you FIRST gave her the opportunity to work with you to ensure you were  100% happy.
if you were not happy, why did u sign anything?
i would only imagine that charlene would be willing to help you rather then be bashed on here.

Hello gazebo ,

I honestly don't know who you are and I make sure all my clients leave 100% completely satisfied.  Will you please not be a coward and make an appt?

Love to help you! Smile
