I was just reading this old magazine from 1991 and it said that its impossible for anyone to catch a cold or the flue outdoors in winter at the North Pole. It also said that it is impossible to get dandruff or other fungus types of infections. Can this be true and if so, why?
Actually the Winter temperatures at the poles are thought by experts to be so low that no known disease-causing micro-organisms can survive easily. This would include fungus and related organisms that might be responsible for dandruff.
However, moving to the North or South Pole seems extreme to eliminate dandruff. :-)
