Remember Kelli Maroney, an actress who was better known years ago than she is now? She used to perform in American soap operas, was in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" and acted in some some horror and B movies.
Here's Kelli today. She really looks different, like she may have had some plastic surgery along the way:
A celebrity is a widely-recognized or famous person who commands a high degree of public and media attention. The word stems from the Latin verb "celebrere" but they may not become a celebrity unless public and mass media interest is piqued.
I think we need to create a new category here. Not everyone that has nice long hair, that can be googled is a "celebrity". Sorry.

Sorry? You're not sorry. You go out of your way to try to prove a point... and then you don't make it anyway.
I can't help it that you can't remember Kelli Maroney. Believe what you want, but I did not post her photo because her hair is longer than it used to be. She acted in movies and TV shows and will star in another movie that is due out this year.
I suggest that anyone who saw "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" or the soap operas "Ryan's Hope" or "One Life to Live" or the movie "Night of the Comet" or any of her other movies and TV shows since 1981 would think that qualifies her as a celebrity. She's getting photographed and it's being posted on celebrity web sites. I'll give you the link if you want to complain there as well.
Someone recently challenged me on quoting www.imdb.com as a source. At least imdb lists roles accurately. Cripe, you went to Wikipedia. Do you think that's the most trusted name in online encyclopedias? Heck, I could probably go in there and change the definition of "celebrity" if I wanted to.
Rather, I suggest that -- like me -- if you don't give a rat's ass about someone, skip to the next.

Come on Kramer! Rico has only come out and said what most people here were thinking. Do you have to post a quota of 3 or 4 non-entities every night just because they have long hair? A zillion photos of each is hardly necessary either. Why don't YOU choose the best photos instead of just pasting up everything?

Because you're so nice to me all the time, Fatmoo, I'll divulge my master plan. I go to a web site. I look at the photos. If there is someone who appears to have a different hairstyle than the last time I saw her, I post her photo. If there is someone we've been following for the past few months, I might post her photo. If there is someone I haven't seen before on this site, I post her photo. If the celebrity has long, beautiful hair, so much the better. Sometimes I post a "zillion" photos, sometimes I post a few. Honestly, picking a few from a zillion takes a lot more effort and I like the easy way out once in awhile. However, if there's anything I can do to stop you from bitching and moaning about my posts, gosh, then I'll consider it. Because I live my life to make you happy.
Oddly, you and the other guy who was whining above didn't even comment about Kelli Maroney's hair. Not that you asked, but I've never been impressed with her hair. I just remember her from the soaps and from "Fast Times." That's the only reason I posted anything about her.

Hi--thanks for posting my pictures. Um...WHAT plastic surgery? Sorry, but there are a bout 20 years between photos there![IMG]http://talk.hairboutique.com/smileys/smiley36.gif" height="17" width="17" align="absmiddle" alt="LOL" />
Hi Kelli. I guess even you'll agree that these days you are merely a "wannabe" celeb.
Hey Kelli! If this is really you, Kelli, I think you look cute as a button today, and your hair belies the adage that women should go short after a certain age. Such silliness! I admit that I don't follow much pop culture (Sorry!), but we have this guy Kramer on our boards who pleasures in posting about hair changes of celebrities who may not appear as prominently of late. But I enjoy seeing those photos, as do most others here. And I surely loved seeing yours! Blessings, Bob
I remember Kelli Maroney!!! Night of the Comet was one of my favorite B-movies from the 80's. I always wondered what happened to her. Thanks for posting, Kramer.
