I found a natural hair recipe for dandruff in a used book by Janice Cox. Her book Natural Beauty at Home recommends that you mix 1/2 cup of olive oil with 10 aspirin that are crushed finely, massage into the scalp and leave on for 5 minutes.

I have a resistant case of dandruff and this recipe sounds like a good one but I am wondering if anyone has tried it? I also highlight my hair and I am wondering if the olive oil might fade my highlights? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am currently using Giovanni Tea Tree shampoo w/ very good results but am always looking for new ideas.
