It is indeed a few inches shorter, which is a bummer. Recently it's been hanging to her shoulders and flipped alluringly at the ends, which I think made her look younger and added some much-needed flair to her style. With this shorter length, turned slightly under at the bottom, I think looks plainer and - forgive me - a bit more matronly IMHO.
Meredith's never varied much from this general length and style, which is one reason I was bummed she got the Today anchor job instead of Natalie Morales or Campbell Brown. I think she could benefit from trying something more out of her usual zone, like sideswept bangs or flipping out the sides or something.

Meredith was one of my favorite long-haired women ever, during her "60 Minutes" days. Wavy and spectacular. To me, it's a pity that she has joined the majority of fifty-ish gals with this haircut. She could be so much more than "OK". Just look at Gillian Anderson now. She's hotter than she was when "X-Files" began! Bob
