Hi guys, I was on here before, (ChrisH), and I had to get a new login name! Anyways, I am really having trouble finding some quality hair and I just not really doing any extensions anymore b/c of it. I need to find some hair that I can rely on and not be worried about after one washing by my client, it turns to crap! I've had major with shedding and just with the overall quality of the hair. Do you guys have some suggestions? I'm not going to do anymore until I can find some good hair, and it's a bummer b/c I have clients calling me! Thanks alot!

I still mostly use Bohyme.  It's generally consistently good hair.

There is the virgin Russian that is of course nice but it’s a fine textured hair. I mean very fine with no bulk and I would only recommend it for your clients that have baby fine to medium thickness hair. That way it will blend nicely for them. It does come in a wave pattern that is gorgeous but I don’t know about very curly textures and you would need to do a comparison to your client’s hair if it is tighter curl. You would have no problem perming I would presume as it is virgin but that you would need to make certain on. I say this because the hair is NOT cheap as you know. However the trade off for that is hair that lasts and lasts. I am now over a year with 20 inch dark brown straight virgin Russian. Amazing.

Thanks guys. I've been buying from different places. I have to say, the last batch of Bohyme, which was expensive, as u know, was horrible! I couldn't believe it! Different socapstuff.  I dunno. I'm pretty bummed at this point..

Do you insist your clients use specialised hair extension products,(shampoo, conditioner, leave in treatment and shine/serum)? Really important!
Also perhaps look into pretipped hair rather than loose hair and the glue gun. I find this prevents shedding.

I only use pre-tipped hair. I have my clients use all the products. It's the hair. The quality of the hair sucks! I'm gonna get some more samples, I hope I find some better stuff soon. I never use bulk. Just pretipp.
