QuoteReplyTopic: Med/Lt Brown w/ Hilts to 1 shade dark blonde? Posted: August 02 2008 at 9:59pm
Hi, I am new to this board and need some help. I can no longer afford getting my highlights done every 2 or so months. I have found a similar hair color to my natural one here http://www.probeautywarehouse.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=PB-5719 it is the Dark Ash Blonde 6A here. My highlights are grown out to about 1 1/2 inches now and are hi lift. I want to dye my hair myself to a dark/medium blonde. What product would be best for this? Thank you

Here is a picture of my hair a little after I got my highlights, by now my roots are quite long. I am unsure of 1 solid color of a 7/8 or highlights to blend in? I have no idea what product is best.

Hi Huggs. It does look like you are a natural 6a, so you can go (technically) two shades lighter at your base without too much warmth. You should probably stick with an ash blonde in a Level 7 or 8, since you will always lighten warm. Then, you could buy a bleach kit or a tub of bleach and 20 vol. and just place some highlights around your face. Oh, sorry, I forgot you have long roots! Why not just pick out a few of the existing highlights on your crown and around your face and foil in JUST bleach at the roots up to the demarcation line. So you would just put bleach on the hair that is dark and put some foil around it; it's really not that hard. Don't go much higher than a Level 8 though for your base or you will go brassy. HTH!
