So today I tried doing an installation with supertape and I wasn't pleased with it at all.
The hair color matched fine and was god quality but the placement looked wrong and I could feel my hair pulling underneat the weft of hair.
I loved the look of super long hair so I'm gonna go for the Racoon fusion method (the UK method is different and a lot more gentle than the one they do in the US).
I have one question, is it possible to have fusion and still retain healthy hair or will you always get a certain level of damage no matter how gentle the system claim to be?
Yes it is possible to maintain healthy hair even if you use a fusion method.
What really determines that though is the health of your hair to begin with, how well the extensions where put in (no cross hairs, clean sections, etc), how well they are maintained by you, and how gently they are removed (does the glue break down easily upon removal and combed out with minimal pulling)
Some people do great with fusion, others not so great and sometimes it hard to tell who will be a person who does great and who doesn't. It may be worth at least one try though for you.
I'm sorry you didn't find the Supertape worked for you. I am surprised by how many people give up after trying once to do the tape/glue method! It's not necessarily easy. Like anything, you have to practice. But, then again, if you want great hair right away and don't want the hassle of making mistakes, then I can understand wanting to get it professionaly done. I wish you luck with the fusion.
