razoring/cutting extensions

What is the best method/tool to use for razor cutting the extensions around your face? Some people call it feathering I guess. I am not sure. Do you put them in your hair and do this or how?

I always put extensions in then layer them.
the best tool would be a razor, they sell them specially for this....
But I used scissors at a downward 45 degree angle and snip downwards.
I do it in small sections around my face.
