I'm a guy with dark brown hair.  On a dry day, my hair basically lies flat and straight, very similar to, say, Johnny Depp here:

But when it gets humid outside, it starts to curl and looks more like, say, Eric Bana's hair here:

My question is, would you recommend any product (a gel, mousse, etc.) I could use to maintain this straight look on the wetter days?  I'd like to not have to change my whole routine (i.e. new shampoo, new conditioner, etc.), and would love it if there were something leave-in, not greasy, that you could recommend.

Well gel or mousse is probably a good idea. I love mousse as it adds texture and really holds my style in place.Right now I'm using tigi CATWALK Extra strong mousse and it's definitely stronger then most mousses.
If you find that is still not enough,try gel.It wil make your hair feel rather stiff/sticky,but that do wont move at all!

Hmm.  I was hoping for something a bit more specific ;)  Normal, hold-your-hair-hard gel and mousses were so elementary school for us!  I was hoping for something that would leave it light and flexible, but straight.  I.e. not by force.  Thoughts?

Have you thought about using a serum, as they help with humidity in hair, leaving it sleek and smooth, website below, hope it helps.

I agree a serum may help cuz they seal the cuticle.Try like Frizz ease by John Frieda.
