Well here is my hair info.
I have bleached streaks into my hair and dyed many colors, although it fades (last two times I had red streaks and before I had neon blue)
I know it is bad but I straighten my hair almost everyday, If i dont this is what it looks like

Lol, i had just woken up.

I straighten my hair and it usually ends like this or better (I took this picture below around 10 minutes ago or so.)

So as you can see, I try to pull off the emo look, and i tend to usually, as below is my halloween hair I spent a long time on and sprayed purple.

So my hair is flat when I iron but insane when I dont. Is there anyway I can get control of my curly frizz and make it look good?

My next haircut, what should it be? Pics if possible.

Hi welcome to HairTalk.

You are correct, the daily application of heat to colored hair, regardless of the color, will accelerate the fading process.  So will washing in hot water, daily cleansing with shampoo (try to stretch your shampoo sessions to 1-2x a week if possible to maintain vibrant color).

How to eliminate frizz?  There are many tricks.

I am sure lots of folks here have great tips but here are few of mine (I have naturally curly/wavy hair that will frizz if I don't work at it)

1.  Shampoo only when absolutely necessary to maintain natural hair oils and slow down color fading.
2.  Consider diluting shampoo to prevent harsh cleaning.  Try 1 teaspoon to 16 oz of lukewarm water in a clean bottle.  Shake.  Get hair very wet and then drizzle suds along top of scalp and allow suds to gently run down rest of hair.
3.  Pat in suds, never rub.
4.  Do not pile hair on top of head.
5.  Do only one shampoo/suds application.
6.  Rinse well - apply rinse out conditioner from ears down to ends.  Allow conditioner to remain for up to 5 minutes.
7.  Rinse well and finished with cool/cold water rinse.  This will help close cuticle and prevent frizz.
8.  Towel blot - never rub.  Gently squeeze water out from strands.
9.  Apply defrisant either along or mixed with leave-in conditioner to palms of hands and then use fingers to rake through strands.
10.  Detangle with wide tooth comb from ends to the scalp.  Work slowly and carefully to avoid pulling or ripping strands.
11.  Use a long finger diffuser attached to blow dryer set on low heat and slow speed.  Allow hair to lay in the cup of the diffuser and work in 2" sections.  This method will encourage natural texture to form w/out frizz.  Keep fingers out of wet hair to avoid fuzziness.
12.  If you prefer straight hair consider separating hair into really large curlers and sit under hood dryer.  Hair will have soft waves and can be easily straightened in less time with less damage.  There will be less danger of frizz.
13.  If you can grow out the color you may want to consider a Rusk Str8 straightening treatment.  I recently attended a class and it is a great option for permanent straightening and it actually removes frizz and gives hair silk and shiny finish.  However, it must be done by a professional and can not be done of some types of colored hair.

Other options:
On weekends give you hair a break and if you must wash, let it air dry into its natural texture.  This allows natural oils to develop which will also help prevent frizz which results from dry hair w/out moisture.

I have used Phytodefrisant mixed with Phyo7 or 9 for10 years in a cooktail.  It prevents frizz and keeps hair soft and frizz free.

Another option is to use a paddle brush and a blow dryer set on cool/cold and slow and blow dry hair straight.  It is less damaging than a hot iron used daily.

Hope that helps.  If not...let me know and let us know how you do with your hair.

My mother got what was called a brazillian, which is chemicals put into the hair and then straightened, It apprently keeps straight for up tp 7 months. I have begged my mother for this. If this is wat you are reccomending, I would have loved to do this in the first place, I know straightening kills my hair. I hate doing it.

Actually the Brazilian has fallen out of favor because of the discovery of formaldahyde which can be very toxic to breathe.  The new treatments are called Keratin Straightening.  I recently attended a class in the Rusk Str8 Keratin straightening system and it is amazing.  I would actually be willing to have it done to my hair and I have been growing my hair for over 20 years.  That is how sure I am that it will cause minimal if any damage.

Once the Str8 is done you have virtually no requirements for daily straightening.  It is highly recommended as an alternative for constant wear and tear from straightening irons.  Maybe your mom will reconsider if you go with the safer Keratin systems.
