Hey guys. Alright, so I was just wondering if anyone here has any advice about lightening eyebrows on your own? I've never done anything like this before but lately I've been noticing that as I've been going blonder my brows are a little too dark for my hair. My hairs almost platinum now and I would say my eyebrows are dark brown. It's not too bad since my brows aren't too thick but I'd just like to lighten them to maybe a light brown or something to make it look more natural you know?

Any advice would be appreciated Smile Thanks in advance!

I would go to a professional until you learn more about it.

There is an eyebrow bleach on tha market.

The FDA has issued a warning on eyebrow bleach. However, many beauty experts believe that eyebrow bleach is a fairly safe beauty treatment, and that the worst that might happen is a mild irritation if peroxide in the dye happens to enter your eyes.

However, it might also not be best to bleach your eyebrow by yourself at home, as it can be potentially dangerous. Instead, you can contact your local salon and check if they have colorists who are experts in doing eyebrow bleach. Also, it is better to do them side by side with your hair dye so that it is easiest for the stylist to find the right color match for you.

Natural herbs can be used as well. Many lightening products are widely available in the market and are usually based on organic chamomile, which has natural hair color lightening properties. These can be supplemented by marigold and fresh lemon juice for added boost. These natural substances can bring out your highlight and adds more life to that old, and dull brow hair.

Taken from a beauty board, don't know how safe/true it is but something for you to look into:

Buy a regular facial-hair bleach such as Andrea, mix the ingredients, and apply to the eyebrows for approx 6 mins. They initially go an orange color. Be careful to cover all the hairs or some black ones will remain. I generally repeat this every 3 weeks. The results are very pleasing, my eyebrows are no longer the focus of my face.

You can lighten them gradually by dipping a cotton ball into hydrogen peroxide and sweeping it across your eyebrows every night before bed.
