QuoteReplyTopic: not washing makes nice? Posted: March 03 2009 at 1:59am
I've heard that if you don't wash your hair for a long period of time (say six months or so) that it becomes nice and soft and such like. Is this true? And if so what's the reason for it? Any replies would be much appreciated
When you wash your hair frequently, the oil glands work harder, therefore "making" you have to continue to wash hair so frequently. So basically, when you give your hair a break, it goes into a more natural cycle of producing oils, which are of course very good for your hair, and the oil stops producing more than is necessary.
doubt truth to be a liar.

I don't wash my hair more than twice a month, it helps my hair grow faster and I can style it much better. I couldn't go 6 months without washing my hair though. I use a dry shampoo to soak up oil and make it smell fresh.
