To find a beauty school, our local Vocational school (at the high school) has one and also the local technical college has one. You can call and make an appointment - tell them what you want done - buy what they tell you to - and they will do it for free - if they screw it up - they fix it free.

Yes, the 1" is enough, and that's a great deal for 2 flat irons + heat glove for less than $40!
I'm pretty sure Global Keratin requires a license if you buy it directly from them, but if you buy it from a discount beauty supply website you don't need a license........but before ordering I would do what Parafre247 says above and see if a beauty school will do it for free.

Sorry i don't understand what you are saying. Do you mean i can call these schools and they will order the products for me and i will pay them? I really want to get the Global Keratin Treatment but unfortunately i must have a license. Is there anyway i can get GKT through these schools? Can provide a link maybe?

i am thinking of dyeing my hair black as well. Should i dye before or after global keratin treatment and is there a time allotment or can i do it right after or before the BKT treatment? thanks i hope i'm not being annoying with all these question =P

No problem. Doing a home BKT is a big deal. I'm still learning how to do it better.
Best to dye your hair before the BKT, because the BKT will help protect your color. If you dye your hair after the BKT, best to wait a while, not sure how long. I dyed my hair 2 weeks after a BKT once and it worked well.

I go to a beauty school to dye my roots every month. Redken hair color is much better than drugstore hair color. The Redken product they use costs about $15, and they only charge me $23 and $2 for a haircut. You will get much better results if you have it done at a beauty school rather than doing a botched job at home. While you're getting your hair dyed you can ask if any of the girls would like to get experience doing a BKT.
Besides getting my roots done monthly, I use a color refresher called Goldwell color foam. It's a nice fluffy foam that doesn't drip. I put it on with gloves and rinse it out after 5 to 20 minutes depending on how dark I want it. One application lasts for 5 shampoos. It is the easiest home color refresher and makes your color lush and very shiny. I've tried every deposit only color from Sallys, Sebastian Celephanes and Shades EQ, and this stuff is way better. I'll send you a link if you'd like to buy it. It's very reasonably priced, only $13 and it lasts for quite a few months.
