ok so ive been dying my hair black since october and i decided i was tired of it and wanted to go back red like it was before.

i decided to bleach my hair so it would be light enough to use the red. my friend and i put the bleach on my hair and waited to out it on the scalp and after awhile (not sure how long exactly) we went ahead and put it on the scalp to lighten it slightly. the rest of my hair was already light enough to color over with the red but the hair at my scalp and about an inch or so out lightened extremely fast. i knew it wouldnt take as ong as the ends because of the body heat but i didnt know it would do it so fast. the hair at the scalp was blonde and the rest had lightened to a medium red.

so i hurried to rinse the bleach out of my hair and was left with a mess. we use the red hair color. im ok with how the ends turned out. but the hair that was blond turned a bright orange.

how can i get the hair at my scalp to match the rest of my hair?

I really think the best way would be to go to a professional and get it sorted out however you're probably gonna wanna do it yourself.

You need to get a shade that's one tone deeper than the one you've use and use it very carefully just on the roots, this should deepen them just enough to blend them in with the ends.
