What would you recommend as the best semi-permanent hair color? My wife has had her hair profesionally colored and its growing out, and some of the gray has peeked through. Rather than continually going in to the salon for touch ups (absolutely no offense meant to any of you awesome pros here), is there a really good product in the stores that can be used in between for touch ups ... without drying out or damaging her hair? She has a lot of fine (not super fine) silky hair.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Natural Instincts is terrific color, and it washes out in about 6-12 shampoos (6 for me) if you don't go very very dark.

Actually, the Natural Instincts lasts longer than 6-12 shampoos, esp. with darker shades. The Loving Care is the one that washes out really fast, like 6-8 shampoos but good for first-timers wanting to try a new color that's not lighter than their natural color.
But to the man who is looking for a home haircolor for his wife, I'd definitely suggest the Natural Instincts.

Thanks for the feedback!

Have any of you tried the new L'Oreal hair color that comes with the base color and highlights? I noticed a full 30 minute infomercial on TV the other night!

While I don't think I'd let anyone other than my hairstylist do my highlights I was curious what anyone thought about this consumer product?

Great day all!
