Are women's short styles getting more popular?

What have any of you noticed in regards to shorter styles,especially Bobs, or any other styles including Pixie cuts within the last two or three years?
 
what are you seeing more of? less of?
 
do you think short hair is dying out or getting more popular or about the same as it was two or three years ago?
 
if you work in a salon what are your female clients requesting more of?
do you encourage women to go shorter?

I worked a booth at a fan appreciation event last weekend; I've never seen so many inverted bobs in one place.  Heaven on earth.

where do you reside Hawg? it's got to be in one of the coolest capitals in the U.S.

Northwest Arkansas.  It was an Arkansas Razorback football fan appreciation event; very cool.  I had noticed a lot of bobs prior to that around here but not that many.
