Hey everyone!   Need all the advice out there!!

I had about 4 inches of root regrowth - level 2.5 on the Goldwell chart -   and wanted to lift to a  light ashy brown.

I have about 10% of grey so this is my formulation I used:

------------------------------------------------------
1.5 TBS  of  Blue/Ash Goldwell Neutralights
0.5 TBS of  6NN Goldwell Topchic (for grey coverage)
------------
2 TBS ==>  1 Ounce
-------------

Used 2 ounces of 40V developer

Also used 14 drops of TCA in the mix to accelerate the process

Total of 30 minutes of processing
--------------------------------------------------------

OK, the roots came out a coppery tinge...

Don't know what happened!!   I thought the blue/ash neutralights was suppose to cut through the Orange/red tones!!   The 6NN topchic color did not cover my greys as I would have thought.

What do you folks advise at this point?   How do I get the Nice light ashy brown hair color at my roots?

I have 1/4 of the Blue/ash Neutralights tube left

I also have these colors avail right now:   7A, 6A, 6NN, 5NN

How do I cut through the copper tones at my roots?   Should I use the blue/ash neutralights with a 10V developer for 15 min?

Should I use the 7A  to tone the copper down?

Please help!!  I want a nice light brown color - not a brassy copper top head!  Cry

What color ash are the products you're using?  Ash can be green, blue, violet or gray. so just saying ash is not enough info.  What color ash is the base of the color you want?  What color(s) does you hair have naturally?  Any gold or red?
