How to get to this color?!! HELP!

I want to get that beautiful auburn-red color in the middle. The two shots on the sides are of my hair and I really dislike the color that turned out.

What brand and color of hair-dye will get me to that color? Maybe a blonde-red 'cause my hair is so dark? I don't want to experiment with this, I have beautiful wavy hair when it is healthy and long, and I don't want to ruin that.

Preferably a permanent hair dye, any kind that is high quality and will last and is a color/brand I  can stick to month after month.

Right now in my hair is Herbal Essences' "Paint The Town". Not a very good brand for the dye. I'm willing to go ammonia if it keeps the color in or gives me the proper color...

Basically I want a lighter but DEEPER red. What can I pick up at Wal-Mart or Sally's that will give me that beautiful red in the middle of my pictures?
