At age two, what style makes up the opposite sex?

A psychological study was done to find out at what age we notice the difference between boys and girls by sight. Two year olds were shown pictures of both boys and girls. Except, the girls were wearing short hair, tee-shirts, sneakers and long pants, and, the boys were wearing long hair, kilts, long white sox and dress type shoes. They were asked to point to the girl and the boy. Which participants pointed correctly and how do you think it effects all of us when we are adults?
