how to treat and grow a afro properly

   i want to grow a afro and i want it to be neat i have no idea how to grow it though i have very curly hair and i remmber it being very hard to comb through when i put in some hair products i would also get little hair bumps to.

i remmber using alot of hair products though because my scalp is very dry but it would alsways clog my head pores.

can any one help and tell me some good hair products that will help my hair but wont clog up the pores in my scal.
