At your local salon! I think www.redken.com will tell you local salons that carry it. Not sure about that though. It's pretty popular, a lot of salons have it.
I buy mine at Trade Secret at the mall a lot. When you make a purchase, they give you coupons for your next purchase. Maybe you could ask the cashier for a set of coupons before your first purchase!
You're not supposed to buy Redken at any place other than a salon. Like my local supermarket and drugstores sell it. That's product sold to those stores under the counter, and that hurts local salon owners.
Hope you find something you like!
I'm an All-Soft freak, like several people here. It's all good!

SG is right....Trade Secret has a whole variety of products to explore. Also, if you visit their website and fill out a profile you get a $5 off $25 coupon. Which line do you use? All Soft all the way for me :-)

Boy! you guys are on a roll! LOL ----Thanks for the fast responses!! Lyris, I havent started using REdken yet. i bought Biotera two weeks ago. It's great. I love the smell and it leaves my hair soo soft :) I want to try Redken after I'm done with biotera. I thought I'd be able to find it at Sally's but no such luck. SG, I'll try the salon--I hadnt even thought of that-- Thanks ladies!! :)
I have a question about All-Soft. I currently use Redken Climatress as a leave-in conditioner, but thought All-Soft might be an alternative. The label says it's for dry/damaged hair. I have healthy (but coarse) hair. If I use All-Soft will I lose some of the body? Too much conditioner makes my hair flat and icky. I don't want to make the investment if there's a chance it won't work. I shampoo almost daily, blow dry AND use hot rollers. How my hair stays healthy is beyond me. I get an end "nip" every 6 weeks, so I guess that helps.
I'm below-the-shoulders-but-above-the-bra-strap lenghth. I've been reading this board for awhile, but only now decided to post. My husband loves long hair and keeps mine from being cut by threatening to shave his moustache if I do (not a sight I want to see) so we're at a hair impasse at this point.
Any All-Soft input is welcome. Thanks!

I buy mine from a local beauty supply store since Sally's don't carry them. They don't give me coupons but they give me samples of other products to try so it's pretty cool.
I bought a small conditioner of Redken at Rite-Aid to try (I know someone that works there and I get a 20% discount which helps a lot. It's $30.00 for the big size conditioner!) unfortunately, they don't always have them.
Hiya! Everyone's hair is different, so I can't say with any degree of certainty how All Soft will affect your hair. However, the third and fourth ingredients are glycerin and propylene glycol. Glycerin is an effective lightweight moisturizer which slightly plumps the hair shaft with water (only slightly though--no swollen strands will result.) Propylene glycol is a humectant and "slip agent" which helps the conditioner spread over hair. Both are light and shouldn't weigh hair down. Neither should cetearyl alcohol, a fatty alcohol emollient listed second to water. So I don't think All Soft presents a real "weigh-down" rinse, but that depends largely upon your hair's texture and how well you rinse. If you want even MORE info on All Soft, I am a reviewer for epinions.com and have a big ol' essay on the conditioner here: http://www.epinions.com/content_75336617604
Good luck to you!

I think All-Soft weighs my hair down some if I use it 2 days in a row. But on the other hand, I think I probably use too much. I've tried using less, but when I'm in the shower, I always feel like a small amount is not enough. I feel like I've missed some of my hair.
It's not a problem at all so long as I alternate conditioners every shower. The shampoo is faboo and I use it just about everyday (a couple days a week I switch out with a dandruff shampoo when my scalp itches.)
Incidentally, my alternate conditioner is Redken Active Express Split Second. I don't recommend the Redken Active Express Shampoo though! Yikes! It contains drying agents which are supposed to make your hair dry faster. I don't trust that idea at all.

Thanks Cyndie--I'm a writer by trade :-) Biotera is one: great for dry hair, inexpensive and very thick. Frizz Ease Glistening Creme is another good one--it's very light yet emollient. Sally also carries a line called Nature's Therapy, which is just plain fabulous! Plenty of people have raved about it on these boards and for good reason.

I have to tell you all, you make me miss the States!!! Being overseas in Germany, I Don't get to go to Sally Beauty Supply, and all of those stores.. I am going to the states in September to see my husband at school, and I might just have to stock up on some stuff while i'm there!!! I have my sister send me stuff, but its not like I can browse the isles or anything... OH well, I'll be back in the states in (hopefully) december 04.
I currently order my Redken through the interent, I refuse to go to the salons here and pay the price they are charging. Especially what the Euro rate is. 1 dollar will buy you approximately .82 Euro Cents!!! Good luck with your shopping!
How do you like Germany Laine (other than the exhange rate?) I remember Berlin as being a very exciting, fun place and I'd love to go back! It would be a wonderful experience to actually live there for awhile, although as you said, there are certain things I would miss about the states. Hope you enjoy your visit this fall...Redken awaits :-)
