Hello everyone,
 
My hairdresser had made me clip in extensions from remi hair. My hair is pretty thick and is rather damaged (it definitely isn't smooth!).  So when she made up my extensions she doubled them up (I guess she pretty much folded them in half since they were thin and sewed them on the clips).  Anyways, cause of this they don't sit as flat on my head at the clips and it sticks out and seems a bit bulky.
 
Just looking for suggestions on what I can do? Im thinking that if it wasn't doubled up the length that stuck out at the bottom would look too thin?
 
Also, was just wondering if anyone could suggest any products that would make my hair look smooth and healthy so it blended in with the extensions a bit better??

You can always try using a single weft and just using more clips instead of doubling the wefts. This will help the hair lay flatter.
 
Have you tried flat ironing your hair with a ceramic iron? This will really help smooth your hair out and better blend with the extensions. As for products, I personally like the BioSilk Silk Therapy. If that is too heavy for your hair, you might consider a spray. Sally's Beauty has quite a few MegaSilk sprays that you can spray on before flat ironing. It helps protect your hair from the heat while giving it a great shine and minimizes frizzy fly aways.

just try a single weft, or make your own instead of the hairdresser i buy my wefts from www.buyhair.co.uk :) x

Hi! I made my own clip-in's and what I did, so they would lay as flat as possible, is sew one weft for every hole that was available on the sides of the clips. I bought the standard 32mm size toupee clips that have 3 holes down each side of the clip and sewed one weft on the middle hole and one weft on the top hole. I found that if you start sewing the middle hole first it's much easier.

And you can decide if you want to have more hair to use the 3rd bottom hole on the clip to sew on a 3rd weft for added thickness and it still will lay extremely flat because the weft's aren't stacked on top of each other.
