Hey everyone!

I tried adding blonde highlights to my very dark brown dyed hair. I did it in two steps since I was afraid of frying my hair off. The first time I used 30 volume peroxide with professional blue powder bleach (Schwarzkopf BlondMe) and left it on for one hour. Then after half a week of deep conditioning my hair, I redid those blonde highlights with 20 volume peroxide and the same professional blue powder bleach. I left it on for about 45 minutes. My highlights don't seem too damaged but the ends were turning to mush in the shower. I do not want to bleach my hair again, but I am now left with an ugly gold-mustard yellow color. I have a bottle of Wella Toner in 'White Lady' lying around. Will using this toner help get rid of this yellow shade? I do not want silver hair and am afraid this will turn my hair blue, purple or grey. If this is fine to use, how long should I leave it on for and what volume of peroxide do I use? If not, which other toner should I use? I am hoping to have my highlights turn blonde before Monday since I have to go back to school then. Thank you!

Yes, that toner will really help with getting rid of the yellow. Don't leave it in longer than 15 min and/or rinse it out as soon as your hair starts to turn purple.

You should use 10 or 20 vol peroxide.

Good luck!

To be on the safe side check every 5 mins ,apply very quickly or do a test strand on the under layers of the bleach to see what the colour comes out like and if it the right colour for u.
Also from now on only do bleach the root area if u put the bleach all the way though again it will turn to mush and break off.

Also, get some purple/violet conditioners so you can gently tone your hair with every wash. This works! Get into protein treatments, because blonde hair needs it.
