Ms. Underwood did a guest spot on this comedy in the episode on Mar. 2 (episode 16, season 5).  I don't know when it was shot, but  it's after the big cut.   Length is about the same as the photos on Getty from  early this year.

There are lots of photos and video clips  on the show's website--www.cbs.com/primetime/how_i_met_your_mother

This was a much larger role than the usual celebrity cameo.  She appeared in several scenes in different hairstyles, including a couple of retro 'dos. 

And she looked just as good as ever.  Damn, that girl looks fine!

She was awesome! Loved seeing all the different looks but I still like the natural look; it's the best.

The extensions  are in again as of April 2010.  

She usually has gorgeous hair, even if the styles may seem a bit dated.  Think "big, teased, Texas country hair."  But lately, she seems a bit off.   She has no volume on top, and the length is a  bit stringy and just sort of hangs there.  Day 1 at Music Fest was a new low.  Except for a braided section across the front, it  looked as though she hadn't even brushed it, and it was overbleached to boot.   

I don't think it's so much the length as the styling.  She can look absolutely stunning with long hair and has in the past.   But her recent shorter styles were definitely better IMO.

i don't think there's is a single photo online where Underwood looks bad. She has a natural beauty about her.
