Wearing wigs, but I take meds for my thyroid and I am diabetic. My hair is very thin on top/middle. Is there hope for reversing this conditio?. I have coconut oil, MTG, MN, Sulfur 8, Surge Plus 14, peppermint oil and wave nouve ...and I am taking folic acid, hns vitamins, and one a day for women.
I have or had pretty silve/white hair...but I am still so young..(54)..lol. Help me please..
The key to trying to solve your thinning problem is to first determine what the culprit is (medications, diet or genetics). If a woman's father thinned or went bald early, there is an increased chance that she too will suffer from a "male pattern" balding.
It seems like you have a pretty good regimen of scalp treatments and vitamins however your medications might also be a contributing factor to your thinning.
You might need to see a specialist to determine if your hair follicles are still active and able to grow new hair or if they have completely died (unlikely the hair will regrow). Once that has been determined, you will have a better idea of which direction to go in.
Meanwhile, if you continue to wear wigs, do not wear wig caps underneath as you will need to allow your scalp to breathe freely.
