I have just recently gotten hairlocs put in. I love them but they are so expensive to maintain. Does anyone think it is possible to buy the tools and have them pushed up at home? My mom said she would do it for me and she is a retired hairdresser. Thanks!

I think you should do that!  Google microrings training (the generic term for hair locs) and you should fine loads of free online advice about how to do this.  To be honest she can probably do the next set for you!
