Thanks Jacqui, Turq and Alp - you are very sweet and I really appreciate your good wishes.

I had a wonderful birthday, despite being in a miserable state initially.
My mates ganged up on me and beat me with a laughing stick and kinky underwear until I was helpless with giggles.
They even got me a man.....a blow-up one. Way more reliable than what I'm used to - LOL.
He's very quiet....my mother would like him, I think. And he packs away neatly in a plastic bag!!


Also got a bushel of books, CDs, some cash and a lovely necklace. I feel like a kid again.

If this is 38...bring on 40...
