Food is vital for sustainance of life. The main source of energy and detrimental to life, food forms the majoringredient in maintaining the health of every living form. Ayurveda gives importance to a balanced and nutritional diet. It is said that if a regular diet plan is followed, then it ensures a healthy and prolonged life to any individual. In Ayurveda, each human body is said to be of different type and food which is suitable to a particular body should be taken for the person to stay healthy and energetic. Food along with regular exercise prevents illness and fatigue at a great level.
A mistaken concept that a fixed diet plan means either starving or eating bland food exists among many of us. But the fact is that in Ayurveda, the food plan that is laid out is not only healthy and energy-packed but also delicious. Ayurvedic recipies consist of ingredients such as ayurvedic herbs, grains, fibers, plants ad animal products. Mostly ayurvedic recipies are made at home and these recipies are handed over from generation to generation. It is true that in the present scenario, the current lifestyle doesnot provide suitable conditions for these types of foods to be a made on a regular level. Thus, restaurants serving nature food, and organic food serve for the convinience of the customers whose number is growing day by day. However many of the homemade ayurvedic recipies are easy to make and provide high nutritional value along with stronger immunity and hence prolonged life.
