i love the look of sideswept bangs, almost makes me wish i didn't have curly hair so i could follow this fad! i definately feel that if done right, it looks very chic and sexy. One of my friends is growing out her bangs like this and i'm so jealous!
CO wash only since September '04! Dyed red botticelli curls (3b), fine and just past shoulder length
I don't think age has a lot to do with bangs-or-no-bangs. I think it has more to do with the shape of one's face and preferred hairstyle. I generally don't prefer bangs, or prefer long bangs--but long enough so they can be pulled back. My mother-in-law has bangs that enhance her everyday updo. I can't imagine her not having bangs.

my wife cut bangs back in january ( she actually is a young looking 23 yr. old she looks about 19) they were a little above her brows and cut straight across kinda thick they made her look about 14-15 she looked very young but still very cute last weekend she cut her hair very short into a bob thats shorter in back its very pretty and actually now she looks her age so yes bangs will make you look young and most haircuts do have some ageness to them be it youngor old
I think that totally depends on you, your hair style and the bangs you get. In general, if you get straight across, heavy bangs... yes younger... longer whispy bangs with layers and maybe a side part... probably make you look older.
I agree with Kab..I think that it has to do with the shape of your face, and I think it has to do whether or not you have a large or small forehead. I'm really not sure either way if they make you look older. Are you thinking of getting some?
I bought some batteries, but they weren't included. .....Steven Wright
I think bangs tend to add a youthful quality if they're done right. Wispy and piecy though, not the straight across bangs that your mother used to do herself when you were 8. ;)
On one hand, bangs can disguise a large forehead. On the other hand, they'll emphasize the roundness in a round face if they're too long.
I wish I could wear short bangs but I have a cowlick on the right side of my forehead and it makes those hairs stick straight out and up if I cut them short!
Bangs are a style where your hair grows starting at your crown and ends at your eyebrows usually. And bangs can be cut straight across, jagged, or swept to the side.
So what part of the world are you from, Del Piero? Do most women wear their hair long and natural in your area? Anyway, good to see you around the boards.

It depends upon the person. There is no right or wrong answer which covers everyone. I do *not* think that bangs detract from the beauty of long hair, but I don't usually prefer them. Good luck! Bob
