tomorrow i want to do a deep conditioning on my hair. i was wondering if i could mix a couple different conditioners together or would that be to much? have any of you mixed conditioners together?

Hi Monica,

Interesting you should ask this question, because this evening I plan to shampoo and then condition using a mix of conditioners (the remains of several bottles).

I see no reason for concern. I've done this in the past with good results. Hope this helps!

Hi Monica --

I do it all the time. I also mix conditioner and oil. Slather it on and go do other stuff for a while ( in my house, I wouldn't go out with my head all gooey! LOL). I think the key is leaving conditioners on LONG enough. It takes some time to open the hair shaft, time for any conditioning agent to penetrate, and then time to close the hair shaft.

At least an hour. I have been known to oil for 48, but heavy conditioners - an hour ought to do it.
