QuoteReplyTopic: Daughter dyed hair ~ Help please Posted: April 25 2011 at 11:25am
My husband and I went on a late honeymoon and left the kids with my mom... I came back and my daughter went from a brunette, to a beach blonde, to a red head, strawberry blonde, blonde, spotty brunette. Her scalp burned from what she said by the end of it all . They had a great time with Grandma but her poor hair It's been a couple of days and we need to try to get it either one color, even, or back to a brunette. Can someone help me with the correct way to do this... Since we just got back funds are low so I am planning to go to Sally's and see what I can do... She's gotta go back to school tomorrow... Help please.

The easiest way to even it out would be to apply a medium or light brown ash base dye to her hair and make sure to saturate it completely with color (to get it even) the ash pigments will cancel out the orange tones.
Good luck :) I hope it works out

We did a scalp repair kit that we were recommended at Sally's yesterday morning. After I got out of work yesterday I picked her up and took her there to find out what to do. They said pretty much what you suggested. We went with a medium brown and it came out great (much more even). Her scalp felt okay but she said it almost felt bruised/tender when I touched it when we were doing the other color... We purchased a really good conditioner (name escapes me) and put that in last night. Her hair looks A LOT better and she's returned to school today. Crisis averted (for now).
Thanks
