Does anyone know if it's okay to put baby powder cornstarch in your hair to cut down the oil? I do this sometimes to help my hair last one more day before washing. I'm wondering if it's bad for my hair. My hair feels fine, so I'm guessing it's okay.

Some people comb cornstarch through their hair while they are camping.. it's like a no-water shampoo. For short term only, of course.

If your hair is dark, cornstarching it will make it look grey, though :-P . I've heard about special cornstarch specifically for hair, which comes in brown and red, I think, as well as plain, but I've never bought any to know if it works.
I've heard you can use plain Quaker oats to soak up the oils in your hair, though. Does that make dark hair look grey, or is that all right?
More awesome than a manatee!

Sebastian makes a product called Dry Clean Only specifically for this purpose. It's a "between shampoo refresher." Basically it's a spray that makes your head small nice and neutralizes a lot of scalp oils. Definitely preferred over baby powder or cornstarch, which can easily turn into disasters if you accidentally get to much.

I use Bumble and Bumble Hair Powder. It's expensive, but it works! And it lasts forever. It comes in different colors, so I use the brown powder.
