Moonshadow, welcome! I agree -- those ponytail holders are a must in the summertime. They help make long hair as cool, if not cooler, than short hair.

And welcome to galadriel, too! I also like the Aveda beautifying Composition oil.

Welcome also to Nez! (rolls out the red carpet to our new members).

Oh, and Jacqui, I love your illustration! And Laine, the flaming "Laine" is really cool.

Yeah, Nez. Like Moonshadow said... and I think it was me she was referring to:
Scunci Style "No Damage" SuperSoft it says on the package. A lot of drug stores carry them.
They're awesome! They're fatter than most regular elastics, so they don't leave a crease or dent in your hair when you take them out.

Hmmm, I think I am much more low maitenance when it come to what I use on my hair...shampoo and conditioner and thats it.

Ohh the horrors of hairspray! =)

As for clips: a soft ponytail holder (no metal) and a toothed clip and Ill be happy. A smaller clip to put part up is also useful.

As for curling and such. generaly I let my hair air dry and i do not curl it. but when i do curl i use overnight rollers, the soft ones of course. No use of anything heated!
