NOW FOR THE QUESTIONS!
1) what 'color' is her hair (what level and shade of blonde)?
2) Is this possible to do at home?
3) Can a hair dresser do this all at once (which I want)?
4) Anyone know an 'estimate'?
5) If can be done at home, anyone know a great color swatch?
anyway, I am a cosmetology student, but Im only a student and I have no idea how to achieve this. I want my blonde locks back! My hair is just above shoulder length.

It looks like you want a blend of these blonde tones: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-w--KtuzLJrU/TXE5j20SxYI/AAAAAAAAH8s/FAgnHSoE0HA/LOWLIGHTED_BLONDE_HAIR.jpg

I think most hair dressers would call that dark warm/golden blonde (level 6 or 7) with a level 9 highlight.

No, you cannot do this in one process, but it could be done in one visit as long as your stylist is able to remove all of your #2 black. This depends on whether it's virgin level 2 black or dyed.

If it's dyed, it depends on the type of dye you used (does it contain indigo? If so, it won't lighten - at all, no matter what you do to it. Does it contain metal salts? If so, it will throw green hues into the party).

If you used a non-metallic or non-indigo dye, or it's virgin #2 black, it may still take 2 bleach sessions to get it out (first session makes it gross orange, second session makes it blonde).    Your stylist needs a new very light colored base to work from, so it might take some time.    Then they can re-color with a warm honey blonde, highlight, and use a toner rinse if it's still too orange or brassy. Just make sure they use a shade lighter than the goal honey color, 'cause all that bleaching means your hair is waaaaay porous and will make every color 1-2 shades darker.

Hope some of this helps. :)
