hey... I''ve been thinking about buying Redken ShadesEQ haircolor gloss on Ebay... just wondering has anyone bought something like that on there? My main concerns since it''s a hair color I''m looking at getting is how it old the product might be, if it''s been opened and if it''s been near high heat or something where it would effect the product... I wouldn't normally buy something like this off there but since it's hard to find and when I do it's usually alot more.

I've never bought that particular product, but here are some good rules of thumb when buying any kind of personal product from eBay.

1) Unless you just can't help it (and unless the item is exceedingly rare, this can usually be helped), try NOT to buy anything that is not NIB (New in Box) and/or sealed.

2) Be very wary of buying something without a picture, unless the seller has a very high feedback rating with less than 3% negatives. And usually, seller with high numbers of positive feedback have pictures.

3) *most important* ASK QUESTIONS! This will save you tons of headache/heartache. If you're concerned about how the product's been used/stored, ASK! If shipping costs are not provided in the auction, ASK! And if the seller doesn't get back to you in a reasonable amount of time (no more than 24 hours, tops!), DON'T BID! Better to miss that auction than to find out you bought something that you didn't want!

Hope that helps. Happy bidding!
