QuoteReplyTopic: How to go to one color after OMBRE Posted: September 16 2011 at 9:26pm
Hey There, So I decided to OMBRE my hair.. it turned out actually pretty good, fades quite evenly.. I just dont know how much I acutally like it. After obsessing over this style for quite some time and then doing it and actually acheiving the look I dont even enjoy it. Silly me.
Anywho.. It does look a little brassy. At first it was HORRIBLY Orangy-yellow so I colored it all with an Ash Blond. It helped alot although I feel like you can see a little bit of greenish tinge in the tips, nothing that anyone would ever notice but I can see it a bit. So very warm with a touch of greeny.. yum. haha.. I havent washed it yet so I feel it will even itself out.
NOW, i want to dye it back to normal. I want my hair about a Level 5 rich brown. How would I go about doing this? I know I have to fill my hair with either a protein filler or a red, but how would I ensure the whole head is an even color? Prior to doing the OMBRE I had my black hair bleached out to about a level 6 brown, it was very very reddish though but didnt want to bleach any farther as to save my hair. Fast forward a couple months to 2 days ago when I OMbRE'd.. I then put in a 20 developer with 5N with the little Ardell Red Gold Corrector Plus .125 oz. packages from sallys for my roots (I accidently doubled the developer (OOPS!! I didnt realize till after that I used 4oz of developer to 2oz color), bleached my ends and midddle then rebleached the ends again. Then applied a 9A.
I feel like I should wait to color it as maybe I will start to like it more. Can I use Ardell Red Gold Corrector Plus .125 oz. in my shampoo to cut out some of the brasiness or will it make my ends turn even greener? Also, how do I dye it back to normal? Protein filler and then a 5N? Dye it all RED RED and then 5N? HELP!!!!
