Good Shampoo's & Conditioners, do you use or recommend?

Would love to hear any stories about great shampoo and great conditioners.

I have somewhat dry, and a bit curly hair.
Any suggestions would be great.

I definitely would recommend Redken! I love it! You can go by a local salon that sells Redken products and have a stylist look at your hair and tell you exactly which type you need to replenish your hair. I know I use the Redken Extreme conditioner and it works wonders for moisture!

I have fine hair, that is long, but I have a lot of it. It tangles like a bugger with the wrong products. I swear by AG Tech Two shampoo for coloured hair, AG stimulating balm conditioner, and AG Fast Food leave in conditioner.

I recently tried Schwarzkopf blonde shampoo and conditioner...what a disaster. I ended up with tangles so thick that it took me a half hour to comb out my wet hair.

I MUST have my Fast Food leave in conditioner, or forget combing thru the hair nest...

I have been using the Straight Sexy Hair line of shampoo (at salons). It is awsome, for me anyway. Before, I used herbal essences and my hair was always dry and fell out a lot now I hardly have any hair fall out and it keeps my hair soft and not weighted down. I even highlight my hair and it still feels soft. The conditioner I use is Loreal Vive (at drug stores or places like Target, wal-mart, ect...) for color treated hair in the dry formula (they also make a regular formula but I don't think it works as well). Lastly, Before I blowdry my hair or airdry it I use Aveda Elixer (Aveda salons, Aveda stores or online). It is a leave-in conditioner and it really works great. I have been using it since the begining of summer and my hair is in wonderful condition. It keeps the hair dryer from drying out and my hair and breaking off. Just I thought I would give my opinion on my favorite products. Later.

Hi! My two cents:

My hair is currently lower-back length (much longer than in my photo which is from last year). It is slightly dry but I do have a moderately oily scalp. I get frizzies frequently. My most recent success has been:

Slickline shampoo/ conditioner (generic of Matrix Sleek.Look, $6/bottle at Sally Beauty)

And a once-weekly protein deep treatment with ApHogee Keratin Reconstructor (the second-strongest one they make-- it's $7/16 oz. at Sally Beauty)

I clarify with Neutrogena Anti-Residue, which is quite strong, only once or twice a month.

SUPER CHEAP PRODUCTS which are actually good for hair, IMO (and I've tried a lot):

Suave ColorCare shampoo (this is very gentle for a cheap shampoo, smells lovely, and is only $1.99/bottle)

Dove Intense Moisture conditioner (smoothes and protects hair: some of my best hair days have been with this)

Hope this helps! I love Sally and think their generics are very high quality, and I can't say enough about ApHogee brand. Their stuff is worth three times as much.

Believe it or not.. Mane & Tail works. I was smitten with a girl with beautiful long hair. As I guy, I was like what? Hello.. I love you and I am so shy I run away! But your hair is brown with a million highlights and looks fantastic. She told me her secret. MAn & Tale.

To the secret you must know her and me... it's the only way to know... and it can be beautiful and painful.

A young women who was in pain. I can't leave that. I hate pain.. and, I don't like anyone in it. Raped as guy, I saw a young women who had it even worse than me!

I asked.. "Mane and Tail?" Horse stuff! She used it!

This young lady was fantastic... 1993... and she loved horses. She told me that the main horse groomers, women, were using this stuff on ther own hair! This was before it was on the market for us.. but, only in shops for horses and animals!

But, I was gentleman and was more concerned with other areas of her welfare... escpecially, low self esteme.

My name's Phil for Philip wich means.. strangly, "lover of horses".

She not only braided her own super long hair but the horses, too. She was talented! Her riding was like beauty in naturalization.

I'm a writer who can't spell.. as you can see.

Her locks where like movable beauty... I loved it!

We went for a ride and I found a mare who was not a normal... "pay and ride." She was an owner of someone and had no idea how to be a "follow the next horse." She was real! You rode this girl!

I knew nothing.

This horse.. beautiful horse looked at me with her eyes and wondered, "Who are you?"

"I said," while stroked her neck, hoping she would see that I was not a bad guy and I liked her, "your beautiful horse!"

This women had brushed it's hair and pampered it. Now, some strange guy is on it and I don't know you!

"Your beautiful. Now, forgive me for being an idiot" After a few basic riding stuff from her.. I was riding a horse that was trained for "real riders". I think a lot was to to do with the young lady I liked. And, think the mare knew it was her.

I was nervous and talked to the horse... I did the stuff to make her go forward and she complied. I forgave her for she was a .. she was.. brown and vibrant....a beautiful horse. "I don't know you!" And, I think this mare new it. "I love you." I showed her with a gentle touch. Everyone thinks that a horse will not feel unless it's hide is penetrated. Give me a break! Efvery touch was showed by her eye. And I petted her neck1

For she wanted to eat grass.. No! No!

She obeyed my comMand. I likeD that and patted her on the side of her neck with sweet lovings.

The horse obeyed...whow!

The girl flew away, telling me, " side kick her in the sides." The horse was looking at me and wonding when I was going to tell her...run! I kicked the sides but.. she wanted to run.. horses love run.. . Not enough.. shwe confused. I kicked her hard with just boots.

"Now your talking," the horse behaved.

She made for that... But, I think she was a little to smart.

I kicked her sides. Hold on to your hats... this horse could run. It was not a trail horse.. it loved to run... I fallowed the girl and the horse was like what? She bat out of hell and I was trying to keep myself up..yet, she was doing the work of keeping me up... didn't kjnow that!

"Can you faloow that young lady?" Sorry.. the horse had done in mind and was after him and her one the horse.

No, explination needed.. it followed her...

I almost thought that the horse was saying, "Your're not mating with this mare? She's ready and is breading material"

What?

It gave me escellent writing material! This horse could move and found anything that would stumble it and ran over and reached my girl..so to speek?

When we got back.. I made it go back in the stall without directions. I think the horse thought me crazy!... she was put back into her stall. She didn't like that.

But she liked the girl. She went into her stall and was not happy of my leaving her in their. I think we had an attachment. We had an agreement. You are stallion and she is breeding material. What is the problem?

Well.. I learned that horses have the intellegence of a five year old. That menas a horse is very intellegent.. but.. when love making.. it's cut and dried. Sorry.. girl?


Let's go back to the girl and her conditioner and how I found out Mane & Tail?

This not beaty parler story. It was a trust between a man and women.

The girl worked in a horse hospital. She night shift. The doctor was drugging coffee. She told me it tasted funny but, she was neive.

She quit this job and went on with her life.

This women who used Mane and Tail told me that she was able to grow 6 more inches to her hair. It was down to her waste. I was a little freolicky until she cryed.

Guys come in different types... but, I was no idiot. I saw crying and I was there for there. You don't put you arm around a girl in this state. You are close and use everything in your ability to show you care.

"Are you alright? I see you are in pain and I know it's none of my business, but, I'm concerned about you!"

I had no idea what she was doing. She looked at me and saw nice guy and she knew was hurt.. so she told the Christian God.. "I will prove that men are all the same...Sex!"

I had she was thinking this. I was concerned for her welfare.

To put a long story short.. I helped to bring a Post TRamatic Stress Rape from fragments she was dying and running from to a "normal timeline" and never hurt the girl at all.

Time to leave and, "There is so many who need you. Women who need to know men can love!"

She was gone.

Anyways...

But, I was gentleman and was more concerned with other areas of her welfare... escpecially, low self-esteme.

It worked. Listeneing and friendship can really pay off. Oh, yes.. she was attractive with lockes down to her waste.

But, the more I learned, the more I appreciated herself and I couldn't go further. She was beautiful and never needed to be caged and she needed to know that.

If loved her.. I was afraid of caging her. IT was the last thing among my eyes in her beauty.

I know this strange... but, it was gut feeling she needed more than me.. yet, only what I could provide. I gave self-esteme and pointed a direction and ...she was gone. I never caged her and I felt a heart ache so bad.

I was confused with right with human feeling!

I grieved a lot... but, after so much.. I know I did the right thing.


This is one of stories of learning of conditioners and beauty. She grew 6 more inches from asking a horse "women" who started the whole thing. Mane & Tale" was only in tack shops for horses and stuff.

But, on brave women tried it and found it fantastic.

So I told story as writer would.. but, she did let me know as we walked streets at night time she used this stuff.. .

She never could get her hair beyond her shoulder clades... yet with careful using of the tack shop stuff... she gre am extra 6-8 inches.

I was in awe... as she left and never saw her again.

So Mane and Tale was orginally for horses, but came on the market for you. I saw no split ends and just river of perfect hair...

Her hair was to die for!

I haven't seen her for 12 years.

Memories are precious to single guy who ahd loved in a way no one usually can!
